Don’t Let Fascists Win.

I’m a member of DSA and admit I’ve never attended a protest or rally like what happened last Saturday night in a bar in Los Angeles. Former Vice Magazine (what HAPPENED TO VICE?), Gavin McInnis, who also went on to start a “lovely” little group called, “The Proud Boys” chose to have a meeting at a pub in L.A. (I feel badly for the bar owner, he clearly doesn’t condone such a group into his place of business).

THE HILL reports:

The L.A. chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) shared video of the incident on Twitter, in which their members and others from anti-gentrification group Defend North East Los Angeles can be heard chanting and yelling “F— you fascist,” “Get out of here, Nazi” and “Facist pigs, squeal – you’re all swine.”

The Proud Boys are a far-right organization of men that was started by a former founder of Vice Media. They describe themselves as “western chauvinists” who “refuse to apologize for creating the modern world,” according to their web site.

They say they are anti-racist and “anti-racial guilt,” but the Southern Poverty Law Center describes them as an extremist group because members regularly use white nationalist memes and associate themselves with other extremists.

“Last night our members and allies in Defend North East LA ran a proud boy meet up out of the Griffin in Atwater Village,” the DSA wrote on Twitter. “The bar knew about it and the manager defended them, but we shut it down anyway. Don’t let nazis convene in your city!”

Battles between the far-right and far-left have become more and more common since President Trump‘s election.

Well, even if I wasn’t there in person, don’t condone violence, ever (nor does DSA), if some Nazis are embarrassed, if Sarah Sanders is “inconvenienced” at a restaurant a few weeks back? In my view? F ’em.
